Gina K Inspiration Hop Day 1

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a few days after the hops!!

Hello! Today we are showcasing two brand new stamp sets from Gina K Designs. First up is Stately Flowers 4, illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. This is another gorgeous set of florals from Melanie's Stately Flowers series. Details about this card are below.

Next up is a wonderful new stamp set by Tami Mayberry, called Ticket Trio. This is such a fun and versatile set and it coordinates with Spellbinders™ Labels and Tags. I'll be posting the step by step photos for this project soon.

For more inspiration from the design team, check out these links…

To begin, I stamped the smaller hibiscus flower with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored with Copic markers, beginning with Y17.

 Then I added Y11.

I colored over most of the yellow with RV23.

 Added RV25.

 Then added R08.

For the leaves, I filled in with YG25 and G03.

Then I used a little W5 to shade the leaves.

I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White card stock, using Spellbinders Rectangle Nestabilities® and cut a mask using Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG. I adhered the mask with reposition able tape in the center of the rectangle. Then I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink, working from the oval then out, so the ink would be darker at the oval and get gradually lighter.

Then I sponged Memento Morocco, one of the new Memento colors.

Here you can see how, after I removed the mask, it created a nice frame in a frame.

I used my Spellbinders Foliage set to cut a branch from Pure Luxury White. Then I sponged, just using the residual ink left on the Cantaloupe and Morocco sponge daubers.

I cut out two hibiscus flowers and adhered to the frame using Pop Dots, then added the foliage, also with Pop Dots. The card base is Pure Luxury Just Peachy (4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches). I added decorative score lines to the card base using my Scor-Buddy.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
